HOW TO PREPARE DELICIOUS COFFEE SPONGE CAKE.

                 COFFEE SPONGE CAKE.



Chocolate and coffee has made a very wonderful combination. there's nothing quite like the combination of sweet, dark and tasty. chocolate has always been one of my favorite picks for almost every special occasions or celebrations that i have. in making it, the best chocolate cakes can be made when You make use of the best quality of ingredients at it's best.



in this am making use of the Valrhona chocolate and ground coffee. 



















servings: 4

Ingredients:

  •  130 grams of butter.
  •  132 grams of sugar.
  •  120 grams of flour.
  •  10 grams of  finely ground cocoa powder.
  •  2 table spoon of Nescafe or coffee essence.
  •  2 eggs. 

Cake fillings.

  • table spoon sugar 
  • 1 small teaspoon of coffee powder mixed with water 
  • 50 grams of icing sugar
  • 20 grams melted chocolate.

preparation

1. Preheat the oven to about 140 C.
2. Sieve flour and cocoa powder,mix powder in bowl properly. 
3. Add eggs,butter,coffee,and sugar in a bowl and mix properly till its a fine mixture.
4. Add the flour and cocoa powder mixture to the butter,egg and coffee mixture.
5. Mix both mixtures properly till there is no coarseness in mixture.
6. Divide mixture in two. place both halves in greased or flour tins .
7. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
8. Allow to cool before turning it on trays or cake racks.
9. Prepare filling mixture add sugar, coffee powder and icing sugar.
10. Spread filling over the cake, repeat this on the other half and allow to cool.
